Module 2 Difficulty:
The Digital SAT uses multistage adaptive testing (MST). Your performance on Module 1 determines whether you receive an easier or harder Module 2, which directly impacts your maximum possible score.
The test uses Item Response Theory (IRT) with a 3-Parameter Logistic (3PL) model. This means not all questions are weighted equally—harder questions contribute more to your score when answered correctly.
Based on research, getting approximately 18/27 (67%) correct in R&W or 15/22 (68%) correct in Math triggers the harder Module 2, which unlocks the full 200-800 score range.
If you receive the easier Module 2, your maximum possible score is capped at approximately 600 for R&W and 650 for Math. The harder module allows scores up to 800.
