FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

AP Psychology is a College Board Advanced Placement course that introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. It covers five major areas: biological bases of behavior, cognition, development and learning, social psychology and personality, and mental and physical health. Scoring well can earn you college credit and placement.
Starting with the 2024–25 school year, the College Board restructured the course into 5 units (down from 9) and introduced two new FRQ types: the Article Analysis Question (AAQ) and the Evidence-Based Question (EBQ). These changes emphasize science practices and research analysis over simple rote memorization.
The AP Psychology 2026 exam is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026, during the afternoon session (12 p.m. local time). The exam is fully digital and taken on the Bluebook~ app.
The Article Analysis Question (AAQ) requires students to analyze a provided research article. The Evidence-Based Question (EBQ) requires students to support a claim with evidence from multiple given sources. Anannt's prep includes specialized workshops to master these new analytical writing formats.
Section I (MCQ) consists of 75 questions and counts for 66.7% of the score. Section II (FRQ) consists of 2 questions (AAQ & EBQ) and counts for 33.3%. The composite score is converted to a 1–5 scale. In 2025, over 70% of students scored a 3 or higher.
It is both. While traditionally categorized as a social science, the AP curriculum focuses heavily on the scientific method, biological bases of behavior, and rigorous evidence-based analysis, making it a "science practice" course.
A score of 3 is passing, but many selective universities prefer a 4 or 5 for college credit. With Anannt's structured approach, many of our students aim specifically for a 5.
Yes. We provide KHDA-certified one-on-one and group tutoring sessions, specializing in the new 2026 digital exam format and the AAQ/EBQ writing workshops. You can join us in-person at Burjuman, Dubai, or online.
